It’s great to see so many unique and unusual food events happening in Dublin. This week we have a super club, food trail and a celebration of Irish bread!
Bia Beatha Supper Club, Dublin 2
Bia Beatha, which will take place on Tuesday 20th January, is a monthly supper club held in the United Arts Club on Dublin’s Fitzwilliam Street. The menu is a celebration of Irish cuisine, and each month features a guest speaker who will take you on a journey of the history of Irish food and culture. Tickets are €65 and include a welcome drink, 3 course meal, entertainment and aperitif.
Tapas Trail, Dublin
The next Tapas Trail will be held in Dublin on Sunday January 25th. As part of the trail, you will visit and eat at 3 tapas restaurants over the course of 3 hours (along with some wine of course!). The guides are all local to Dublin and experts in Spanish cuisine. Tickets can be booked here.
Meet the Bakers, Kilkenny
Josephine Plettenburg (Speltbakers), Joe Fitzmaurice (Cloughjordan Woodfired Bakery) and Declan Ryan (Arbutus Bakery) will be the bakers discussing all things bread at Highbank Orchard in Kilkenny on Saturday 24th. The night will also launch ‘Real bread Ireland’, which aims to help consumers identify and find real bread and to assist and support bakers who want to move to real bread baking. Tickets are only €8, and can be purchased here.
