Alchemy Fermentation Workshop
Alchemy, located upstairs in BT2 on Grafton Street, will be hosting a fermentation workshop and dinner on Thursday December 3rd. Join owner and chef Domini Kemp and Dearbhla Reynold’s of the Cultured Club for an evening of delicious food, dinner and treats, while learning all about the benefits of food fermentation. The theme of the evening is all about fermented edible gifts, with some of Dearbhla’s fabulous products also on sale on the evening.
National Crafts & Design Fair
The National Crafts and design fair is back in the RDS from December 2nd-6th with their extensive food emporium showcasing some of Ireland’s best producers. This year the emporium will showcase over 100 artisan food stands including Corleggy cheeses, Highbank Orchards, Boutique Bake and Pukara Estate (THE best balsamic vinegars I have ever tried). Good Food Ireland will also have a stand at the fair featuring an eclectic selection of artisan food producers. Check out my review of last year’s food emporium here.
Teeling Craft Fair
Pop along to the Teeling Whiskey distillery this Saturday December 5th for a day of festivities! Eleven Irish brands will be there along with some exciting Teeling whiskey food collaborations. Teeling have teamed up with the Oriel Sea Salt Company to produce a whiskey smoked sea salt which visitors can sample and purchase at the fair. Mannings bakery will also be there with their Teeling Christmas pudding range. Fans of the full Irish breakfast can purchase some of Ireland’s finest pork products from Jack McCarthy butchers. The list goes on, including The Dublin Honey Project, Hanlon’s smokehouse and other artisan food and craft producers.
