The first of its kind in Ireland, Dollard & Co opens its doors in Dublin from tomorrow, August 17th, and if you are as excited as me you will be already planning a visit ASAP!

Situated along the Liffey next to the Clarence hotel, the impressive food hall takes its name from Dollard Printworks, which was housed in the building many moons ago (fun fact: the building is the oldest steel frame structure in Ireland!).

As well as a market with everything from seasonal produce, freshly caught seafood, international cheeses & charcuterie, the market will also house a pizza oven serving delectable pizzas, freshly made pasta and coffee brewed by TwoFifty Square.

If you’re too peckish to wait until you get home to eat, their order-at-the-counter deli will be serving up a range of breakfast dishes, an all day menu, vegan flatbreads, creamy homemade ice cream, desserts, smoothies and juices to eat in.

At the very heart of Dollard & Co is The Grill, a table service dining option seating 40 people which opens for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sit around the open plan kitchen where you can watch the chefs hard at work cooking up a storm while taking in the atmosphere of the entire space. The menu will feature starters like Miso glazed chicken wings and mains like Crab, Lobster and Potato Omelette, Hake with braised Calamari, or a cheeseburger, piled high with bacon, pickles, mustard and mayo and served with golden fries.

What I am most excited about is the cheese and charcuterie counter, which I have been told is home to a huge array of cured meats, cheeses, marinated olives and more.

You’ll find me at the cheese counter, and you can find them on Twitter/Facebook/Instagram at @dollardandco!
